| The Tungsten T5 handheld
features a Drive Mode that lets you attach
your handheld to a desktop or laptop
computer, and directly access the handheld's
Internal Drive on your PC. When this
happens, Windows XP assigns a drive letter
to your handheld's Internal Drive.
A limitation of Windows XP may cause
conflicts with another device on or near an
assigned drive letter your Tungsten T5 was
or is trying to use.
If this happens, here's how to fix it:
- If you haven't already, turn on
Drive Mode:
- Connect your Tungsten T5 to your
Windows computer.
- On your handheld, turn on
Drive Mode.
- On your PC, click Start, then
Control Panel, then Administrative
Tools.
- Select Computer Management.
- Select Storage.
- Below Storage, select Disk
Management.
- On the right hand side of the Disk
Management dialog, right-click on the
drive of choice and choose Change Drive
Letter.
- Select Change.
- Choose a new drive letter.
- Choose OK
You should now be able to connect your
Tungsten T5 handheld to the newly assigned
drive letter. If you continue to have
problems please contact your System
Administrator as you may need to create new
drives on your Windows XP machine.
